| The Tasmanian Gay and Lesbian Rights group, TGLRG ,is a community-based organisation. It led the suc cessful 1988-1997 campaign for gay law reform in Tasmania. Its ongoing activities include parliament ary lobbying, media liaison, community education and direct action and it has a commitment to the po litics of visibility and community empowerment.
The Group conducts campaigns around anti-discrimina tion legislation, the legal recognition of same sex relationships, the prevention of lesbian and gay youth suicide and many other gay, lesbian and bisexual rights and welfare issues. |
